Categories

Group A: Pre-Schooler

Group B: Primary 1-3

Group C: Primary 4-6

Group D: Youth

Artwork Requirements

  • Participants are required to submit an original artwork of A4 or A3 Size only.

  • Participants may use any art mediums - pencil, colour pencil, graphite, charcoal, pen, markers, acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolour paint, poster paint, Chinese ink, etc.

  • Participants may combine and use multiple mediums.

  • The artwork should be created on a piece of paper, Canvas or digital art.

  • The artwork should be an original work produced by the participant for this art competition. The artwork should be produced from Nov 2024.

  • The participant may freely express their artistic creativity in response to the art competition. The created artwork should adhere to the theme of the art competition and submissions which are inappropriate to the theme will not be considered.

  • The artwork should be an original work and not a copy from an existing photograph or artwork. Hence, a participant may be forfeited if the artwork is found to be a direct reproduction of an existing photograph or artwork.

  • ​The submitted artwork could be framed by participants, but it is not compulsory.

  • ​The submitted artwork could be kept by organiser or self-collection after contest.

Judging & Grading Percentage

The jury panel compromise experienced senior artists that will judge according to the following criteria:

1. Theme: 30%

2. Creativity: 10%

3. Skill: 10%

4. Aesthetic of Work: 10%

5. Proportion of Artwork: 10%

6. Perspective: 10%

7. Colour Combination: 10%

8. Cleanliness: 5%

9. Lines: 5%

Registration Fee

SGD $68 inclusive of 

  • Certificate of Participation

  • Certificate of Award if being awarded

  • Award trophy or medal if being awarded

  • Winners' artwork exhibition 

  • Be invited to attend the Award Ceremony

Awards

The following awards will be given to each age category:

  • Dunhuang Gold Award: 1 

  • Silver Award: 2 

  • Bronze Award: 3 

  • Rising Young Artist Award: 10

  • Most Creative Award: 10

*Each participant will receive a certificate of participation.

*All gold, silver and bronze award winners will receive a certificate of award, trophy, award ceremony and exhibition.

*All other award winners will receive a certificate of award, medal, award ceremony and exhibition.

*Outstanding organisations will receive a certificate of outstanding organisation and trophy.
