Clarification Statement

Arts Association of Singapore 新艺协 (AAS) would like to issue this statement to provide clarification on a recent matter:

​

In September 2023, an event occurred that has raised questions and concerns within social media. We feel it is important to address these issues directly and transparently.

​

It has come to our attention that there may have been some misunderstandings or misinformation regarding the incident in question. We would like to clarify the following points:

​

The event "2024 Singapore International Festival of Arts 新加坡国际艺术节“ is NOT organised by Arts Association of Singapore.

All the event poster, publicity and marketing collateral are deceitful without any authorisations.

​

The culprit company is using AAS, NAFA and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore's name and logo as well as School of the Arts, Singapore Concert Hall to organise event and recruit students is illegal.

​

AAS is consulting our lawyer on this case and will take legal action if necessary.

​AAS is committed to transparency, accountability, and open communication. We take this opportunity to rectify any misconceptions and provide accurate information.

We apologise for any confusion or concern this incident may have caused and assure you that we are working to prevent such issues in the future.
